PERFORMED INDIVIDUAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF LASER SPECTROSCOPY OF RUBIDIUM ATOMS IN THE PROXIMITY OF THE DIELECTRIC SURFACE.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Performed experiments in the field of evanescent wave laser spectroscopy (EWLS) and discovered:
(a)
effective optical anisotropy in evanescent wave propagation in atomic vapor;
(b) Sub-Doppler narrowing of the width of absorption profiles in optogalvanic detection of (EWLS).
The results were presented in Physical Review A, vol. 57, Number 6, p. 4079 (1998) and Optics Communications 150, p. 106 (1998).
